The exhibition is made even more special with an exclusive section for Nicolas Jullien, the artist’s brother and artistic partner, through which visitors can see the process by which the Jullien brothers bring forth the powerful synergy of their artistic visions. The exhibition will also feature Korean landscape paintings recently created by Jean Jullien.

Paintings Like Jean Jullien’s drawings and sketches, many of his paintings are also inspired by everyday life. Among them, nature, family and the sea are often used as a main motif. While the artist’s illustration style is humorous and satirical, his paintings tend towards the contemplative and tranquil. In contrast with a vast ocean view, human figures are expressed in a tiny and blurred form. In this way, his paintings make viewers focus on nature’s creations such as the music of waves and the motion of trees.

Props to video Jean Jullien spent his formative years at Central Saint Martins (London) experimenting with his work and with his art school friends on a variety of projects. His love of collaboration and “play” has since allowed him to work in a range of fields from editorial to painting to sculpture and beyond. Working today with his brother Nico Jullien, Jean Jullien continues this experimentation in the fields of video and installation.
